Intellicare, a Philippine health maintenance organization (HMO), paid ₱9.35 billion in healthcare benefits and claims in the first half of 2026. This amount helped members access various healthcare services, including consultations, diagnostic procedures, and hospitalization.
The latest Insurance Commission (IC) performance report showed that healthcare benefits and claims across the HMO industry reached ₱41.23 billion during the six-month period ending June 30, 2026, up 13.62 percent from ₱36.29 billion in the same period last year. Total industry revenues also increased 19.99 percent to ₱56.43 billion, while membership fees rose 19.71 percent to ₱54.82 billion. Total assets reached ₱99.64 billion, up 18.75 percent year on year.
Intellicare’s revenues reached ₱12.57 billion, with total assets of ₱21.88 billion as of June 30. The company’s payment of ₱9.35 billion in healthcare benefits and claims shows the importance of HMOs in ensuring access to healthcare, particularly amid rising healthcare costs.
According to Jeremy Matti, President of Intellicare, “Members rely on us not only for access to healthcare providers but also for the assurance that their healthcare coverage will be there when they need it.” He emphasized that every healthcare claim paid represents a member receiving care, support, and peace of mind.
As Intellicare looks ahead to its 31st year, it remains focused on strengthening healthcare access through responsive service, strong provider partnerships, and solutions that help members handle an increasingly complex healthcare environment. This commitment is embodied in Care Within Reach, Intellicare’s guiding principle for ensuring that healthcare remains accessible, relevant, and responsive to the evolving needs of Filipinos.
